This group project was focusing on merging the upcoming Bijlmer Area in Amsterdam with a native tribe called Loba from Tibet. What will their future look like if they both met and inspired each other? How can native tradition and gentrification come together in a new manner? Sustainable, self-sufficient, and a new outlook on a modern future, where circular clothing is bridging the gap between self-expression and being one with nature. Look 1 is made of tailored hemp and nettle fabric, and wool as well as crystals. We grew crystals on wool and interlaced a dress out of it. We developed a living material, which is algae covered paper material- serving as a long oversized coat for the second look.
